School Year Closes with Success!

Congratulations to the graduates of 2023. This year’s graduation ceremony was held at the Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial on Thursday, May 25th.. Addressing this year’s graduating class was Mr. Eric Engle, a 1986 Put-in-Bay High School graduate. Mr. Engle’s speech started with a selfie and finished with great applause.
Graduates of the Class of 2023 have ambitious plans after graduation:
Lilian Frederick will be attending Terra State Community College. Macy Ladd will be attending Kent State. McKenna Stacy will be attending BGSU/Firelands. Doug Steidel will be attending Cleveland State. Alice Lentz will be attending Ohio State University. Alec Sharp will be entering the workforce.
Graduation last month was a memorable one. We would like to thank the staff at the Perry Victory and International Peace Memorial for providing the beautiful venue for this event. We would also like to thank our scholarship donors:

Juniors, Joseph Blumensaadt and Emil Michael will represent Put-in-Bay School at the annual Buckeye Boys State program. Elora Hubner will represent Put-in-Bay at Girls Buckeye State. Both of these programs are sponsored by the American Legion.
We have one sophomore participating in the HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Program) this summer. HOBY will take place on the campus of Ohio Northern University. Maddie Koebel will participate in activities that develop leadership skills. These skills can then be utilized at Put-in-Bay School and our community.
The Put-in-Bay school staff would like to thank all the students and parents for a successful 2022-23 school year and look forward to the 2023-24 school year. The first day of school for the 2023-24 year will be August 29, 2023
