Summer News from Put-in-Bay School

Summer is a time for completing a long “to-do” list of maintenance projects. The list this year includes, but is not limited to:
Wax all tile floors
Shampoo all carpets, runners, rugs, and furniture
Power wash building, clean all windows, clear all downspouts
Inspect sprinkler and fire alarm systems
Install a Knox Box for our emergency agencies
Put texture on the outside basketball court
Summer is also a time for us to review and update Board Policies and student handbooks. These are approved by our Board of Education. Student handbooks will be sent home the first day of school for parents to become familiar with. If you have any questions about our 2024-25 rules, policies, or procedures, please call the school at 419-285-3614. Parents planning to withdraw or enroll a student should do so prior to school starting so we can plan accordingly. Please call to set up a time to come in and tour the school and collect your enrollment papers.
We will start the year with some new faces in new positions: Madeline Pugh will be our gifted and pre-school teacher; Mrs. Danielle LaSota will be our first grade teacher’ Brenna Sherman will be our 4/5 th grade teacher; Corallee Wisniewski (CC) will be our music teacher; and Allison Dawson will be our substitute/intervention teacher. We are excited to have them all on-board.

Sept 2nd no school (Labor Day)
October 21 (Appointment Day) October 25 th 2:30 dismissal for students
November 5 th No School Parent Teacher conferences 8:00AM- 3:20 PM
November 27-29 no school (Thanksgiving)
December 23 – Jan 3 no school (Winter Break)
January 20th – No School
January 29 th Noon dismissal school Parent/teacher conferences as requested 1:00-4:00
February 21 – 28 no school (Winter Break)
March 28 th 2:30PM dismissal for students
April 18- April 22 (Spring Break)
May 22 (Last Day of School 2025 Graduation)
