“The End is Nigh”

At long last the skeleton crew still running daily trips from Put-in-Bay to the mainland will get some respite!  According to Captain Billy Market’s Ferry Status Update:

“Here’s the plan based upon the weather/wind forecasts for next week. Strong East winds on Tuesday switching to strong West winds on Wednesday with temperatures below freezing at night, so I expect the docks to become ice covered.  This being said, Monday, January 8th, is the probable last day of ferry service. Plan ahead and PLEASE do not wait until the last minute to move your vehicles!”

“P.S. The black Tahoe is leaving the island on Sunday to avoid the “last push” on Monday. Updates will be posted on Facebook and at millerferry.com.  There will be an 8am trip leaving PiB on Friday as we are making an early trip leaving Catawba to top off the propane on the island.”
