PORT CLINTON, Ohio – The Walleye Drop Committee is seeking additional merchandise or display vendors for this year’s New Year’s Eve event. By participating in this event, your enterprise will receive international exposure as each year thousands are drawn to downtown Port Clinton from around the globe to witness the world famous Walleye Drop.
The evening begins with family friendly events for all ages, and a large vibrant main-stage area with a live DJ, games and activities all evening. Downtown fills will shoppers and diners during the final hours of the year as we count down to midnight. Just before we say goodbye to 2016, a 20-foot, 600 pound Wylie the Walleye is lowered from a crane Times Square style. The new year is welcomed with one of the area’s largest fireworks displays, streamers and confetti.
- Vending fees start at $50 for six feet of frontage.
- Multiple spots can be reserved.
- Water and garbage disposal included.
- Wandering merchandise vendors also allowed for an additional fee.
