Mercy Health Introduces Automatic Life Flight Membership for Put-in-Bay Residents in 2025
Starting in 2025, Mercy Health is making emergency medical care more accessible for island residents. As announced by Put-in-Bay Township, all residents, including part-time islanders, are now automatically enrolled in the Life Flight Membership program. There’s no need to submit applications or pay any fees—this benefit is automatic!
The Life Flight program provides financial peace of mind by waiving any charges beyond what your insurance covers for emergency medical transport. For example, if a Life Flight transport costs $40,000 and your insurance pays $30,000, the remaining $10,000 will be waived under the program.
This change ensures that all Put-in-Bay residents, including those who live here part-time, have access to affordable emergency medical transport when they need it most. It’s another way Mercy Health is supporting our island community.
