Put-in-Bay Twirlers Bring Home Top Honors at 2025 Ohio State Fair
The Put-in-Bay Panther Twirlers returned from Columbus this weekend with a lineup of first-place finishes after competing at the 2025 Ohio State Fair baton twirling competition on Sunday, July 27.
Led by coach KC Bast, the team has spent weeks preparing for one of the state’s most competitive baton events. Their hard work paid off with top placements in both parade and dance divisions—including a Moana-themed show and a crowd-favorite Charlie Brown routine.

The group, made up of local girls and one boy, represented South Bass Island with pride, talent, and enthusiasm. In addition to the team wins, many members also earned individual awards for solo, strut, and multiple baton events—those results are expected to be posted soon by competition officials.
The baton competition took place at Kasich Hall A in Columbus, Ohio, as part of the Ohio State Fair’s annual youth sports lineup.
