Put-in-Bay Named One of America’s Top 100 Coastal Towns
Put-in-Bay has officially been named one of the Top 100 Coastal Towns in America, earning the #27 spot on a national list published by the New Jersey Real Estate Network.
The rankings were based on a variety of factors, including natural beauty, recreational offerings, tourism appeal, and community charm. Put-in-Bay stood out among dozens of seaside and lakeside destinations across the country, beating out better-known coastal towns in California, Florida, and New England.
Here’s what the survey authors had to say:
“The town is known for its historical significance, particularly Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial, which commemorates the Battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812. Put-in-Bay also offers a vibrant nightlife, diverse dining options, and family-friendly attractions such as Perry’s Cave, Heineman’s Winery, and the Lake Erie Islands Nature & Wildlife Center.”
This latest recognition adds to a growing list of accolades for the South Bass Island village, long regarded as one of the Midwest’s best-kept secrets. Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or a full summer adventure, it’s clear Put-in-Bay is more than just an island—it’s a top-tier destination on the national stage.
