Northern Lights Illuminate Put-in-Bay Sky
The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, made a stunning appearance over Put-in-Bay late Thursday night into early Friday morning, five months to the day from their last visible display on May 10th. The breathtaking display of colors lit up the night sky, with Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial serving as a beautiful backdrop for several of the photos. This rare event was caused by heightened solar activity, making it visible further south than usual.
