Aug 29, 2013 Tall Ships Welcome Cruise Goodtime I, 101 W. Shoreline Dr. (Jackson St. Pier), Sandusky $30/person The deck of the Goodtime I is the perfect vantage point to watch the parade of tall ships entering the harbor at Put-in-Bay. The Goodtime I will leave the dock in Sandusky at 12 pm and arrive in the harbor around 2 pm. The tall ships are scheduled to arrive at between 2 and 4 pm. Light appetizers will be served and drinks can be purchased from the bar. Lee Murdock will provide entertainment with songs and stories of the Great Lakes. This program is one of the very few sail training programs where all of the crew except for the captain are in high school (13-19 years old). “Pathfinder” was the original vessel of Toronto Brigantine, a charitable organization founded in 1962 to develop leadership, discipline, and citizenship in a maritime environment and believed that exposure to the challenge of the sea-going lifestyle could benefit young people. “Playfair” joined Toronto Brigantine in 1974.
