United States House of Representatives member Marcy Kaptur (Ohio 9th Congressional District) gave a Floor Speech to recognize the success of Put-In-Bay 7th Grader Caleb Kowalski’s Science Fair Victory. The presentation was released to the general public today.
Caleb Kowaliski, 7th grader at Put-In-Bay Middle School needed a project for his school science fair. He turned to nearby Lake Erie for inspiration. He won the Northwest Ohio Science and Engineering Fair for his project focusing on combating algal blooms.
Caleb’s mother, Melissa Kowalski, who teaches science at Put-in-Bay School, said, “This is great publicity for our area, science fair, and science education. I am a proud mom and teacher!”
