Dreary Weather Doesn’t Preclude Annual Put-in-Bay Blessing of Fleet

Under mostly cloudy skies, occasional rain drops, and easterly winds at 17 knots, the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce orchestrated another successful “Blessing of the Fleet.”  The Miller Boat Line; Jet Express; Boardwalk; Ladd’s Water Taxi; Perry’s Victory Longboat; Put-in-Bay Police, Fire, and EMS; and the LifeFlight helicopter all made respective appearance on sea, land, and sky.  The blessings were given by Rev. Mary Staley, of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and Pastor Jim Lehman, of St. John@The Bay.
