SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST WEDNESDAY
LOW WATER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM WEDNESDAY TO 4 AM EST THURSDAY
GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM WEDNESDAY TO 4 AM EST THURSDAY
For the Gale Warning, west winds 25 to 35 knots with
gusts up to 40 knots and waves 3 to 6 feet expected.
For the Small Craft Advisory, southwest winds 20 to 30 knots with gusts
up to 35 knots and waves 2 to 5 feet expected.
For the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water levels expected.
* WHERE…The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to
Vermilion OH.
* WHEN…For the Gale Warning, from 10 AM Wednesday to 4 AM EST
Thursday. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 10 PM this
evening to 10 AM EST Wednesday. For the Low Water Advisory,
from 10 AM Wednesday to 4 AM EST Thursday.
* IMPACTS…Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Water levels will fall below the critical
mark for safe navigation, which is low water datum of zero
inches, by late Wednesday morning. Water levels will peak near
24 inches below low water datum Wednesday evening before
gradually rising late Wednesday night.
