Island Air Taxi Prioritizes Maintenance and Safety

Dustin Shaffer, owner-operator of Island Air Taxi (Put-in-Bay, Ohio), not only pilots his Piper Cherokee Six 300, he takes care of the critically important maintenance.  A licensed airplane mechanic, Dustin performs the routine 100-hour service intervals, and he prepares the motor for its 2000-hour overhaul.  With Miller Boat Line operations underway, Dustin’s top priority is keeping the airplane in tip-top condition.  The images below illustrate his meticulous attention to detail.
