Put-in-Bay Fire Department Searching for Retired Automobiles

The Put-in-Bay Volunteer Fire Department reports:
Do you have an old car that you don’t know what to do with? Maybe even a newer one that was in an accident and isn’t worth repairing? How about an island car that has finally ended its useful life? Be honest, you know there are a few up here that should have been scrapped LONG ago. The Put-in-Bay Fire Department is looking for automobiles to use in car-crash training. We have enough firefighters that one car just doesn’t give everyone a chance to train effectively, so we are turning to our friends to help us out. If the car isn’t on the island, that’s ok, we have enough guys and enough trailers that we can probably work something out. If you even want to come and watch your car lose its windows and become a door-free convertible with a steering wheel that sticks up like a sit-n-spin, by all means, come and see it happen! Send us a message or get in touch with Chief Domer to work out all the details. As always, thank you for your support! The non-emergency business number is 419-285-7805.
