Sweet Sound of Water

It is common to associate water with certain sound words, kerplunk and drip come to mind.  Today’s sound word for Lake Erie is mellifluous, from Latin mellifluus–flowing like honey.  This word is used most frequently to describe music.  Today, however, as the M/V Put-in-Bay shuttled along, there seems no better descriptor!
