Put-in-Bay Police to Hire School Resource Officer

Put-in-Bay Police announced, on 22 January 2023, the prospective hiring of a full-time police officer to work with the Put-in-Bay School. This comes after a special meeting of the Put-in-Bay Village Council on 11 January 2023.  The purpose of the meeting was identified as “the discussion of police services for 2023.”

The application for the Put-in-Bay Police School Resource Officer position was posted on the department’s Facebook page.

On 21 January 2023, the Village Police Department noted: 4-Wheelers and ATVs operated on the streets in both the Village and Township must be registered and have license plates (See Ohio Revised Code Sec. 4519.02(A) and Put-in-Bay ORD. 476.08(a)).
