School News
By Scott Mangas, Superintendent

As spring approaches, our students are eager to walk or ride their bikes to school again. We kindly ask all drivers to exercise caution, drive slowly, and adhere to our drop-off/pick-up procedures to ensure the safety of our children. Parents are requested to drop off/pick up along Catawba Ave. instead of occupying parking spaces in the school parking lot. Limited parking spaces are reserved for patrons of our library.

The Board of Education and Put-in-Bay School staff extend heartfelt gratitude to all community members who volunteered their time or contributed to various school events or activities throughout the past year. Your support is indispensable to our school’s success.

A huge thanks to our basketball moms for preparing lunch for the entire school staff on March 21st. We are so fortunate to have a supportive community.

Emil Michael, our senior class Valedictorian, will be honored at the annual Ottawa County Top Ten Banquet. Emil has chosen Mrs. Cerny, his Spanish teacher, as his ‘honored educator.’ Congratulations Emil and Mrs. Cerny!

Lyla Steidl will be honored at the annual Nine-to-Five breakfast. Lyla has also chosen Mrs. Cerny as her honored educator.

District Science Fair results: Put-in-Bay School will be sending four students to the State Science Fair. Joe Blumensaadt, Emma Michael, Kate Hubner, and Caleb Kowalski will be representing our school. A huge thanks to Mrs. Kowalski for getting our students to the districts and providing this opportunity for our students.
