Oh my! It is already the end of November. We have had 14 great weeks of school so far this year. It is hard to believe that the Winter Holiday season is right around the corner.
Our Fall sport’s seasons concluded in a successful manner and our winter sports season is upon us. The JV and Varsity team got off to a great start with their first home game on November 18th. The JV team lost a close one and the varsity team squeaked out a win at the end of the game. The excitement in the gym was phenomenal. Come out and support the Put-in-Bay Panthers–GET YOUR GROWL ON!
We did have a sad moment at Put-in-Bay school as we celebrated Miss Erin Urge’s last day. Miss Urge was a long-term substitute teacher for Mrs. Jackie Kowalski. Miss Urge was with the school from the first day of school to November 21st. She was in our third-grade classroom and our staff and students will miss her. Below is a picture of Miss Urge celebrating with the elementary students and staff with some cupcakes.
Another big hit at the Put-in-Bay school has been Bailey, our therapy dog. Bailey has been with us all year and she is visited frequently by students and staff. Pictured here are seniors Elora Hubner and Hope Cooks spending a little time with Bailey as she greeted students in the hallway.
The Put-in-Bay school board was honored to have Jeff Koehler at their November board meeting. Mr. Koehler, Mr. Brian Cultice, and Mr. Berni Steinbach (Put-in-Bay Daily) were inducted to the 2023 Ohio School Board Association Media Honor Roll. Pictured here is Jeff Koehler from the PIB Gazette with Board President JR Domer.
