Put-in-Bay School News: Looking Forward

Put-in-Bay School News – by Scott Mangas, Superintendent

Where did the Summer go?  That is a question that many students, parents, and teachers are asking. August is here, and the 2024-25 school year is just weeks away. Put-in-Bay School is ready to go, and the first day for students is August 27th.

Coach Craig Schuffenecker will be starting volleyball practices the first week of August. This year, Coach Schuffenecker will have two seniors leading the way: Ava Heineman and Lily Schweitzer. They will be joined by Emma Michael, Kate Hubner, Olivia Christensen, Katie Scarpelli, and Meredith Cooper. The volleyball schedule will be posted on our school website at http://www.put-in-bay.k12.oh.us. Come cheer on the volleyball team!

Coach Leah Goodwin will be leading our junior high and high school cross-country teams. They also began practice in early August. We have some outstanding distance runners and look forward to a successful season. Leading the pack are Seniors: Jacob Seaman and Ava Heineman.  All their meets are on the mainland except for the Miller Boat Line 5K in September. Go Panthers!

2. No parking behind the cars in the parking lot.
3. No parking across the street on Catawba (heading to State Park).
