South Bass Island-Wide Garage Sale to Feature Historical Artifacts
Put-in-Bay memorabilia chronicles the history of South Bass Island. Steve and Alina Nemec search out items located off-island and return them, hoping the articles will find a good home on South Bass. With a month remaining until the island-wide garage sale on May 17th, it is time for the couple to start organizing for their sale. Located on Mitchell Road, the sale will have close to a full spectrum of old items: from post cards to spoons, from a 30–foot Centennial banner to an Island 1913 tug of war trophy. Objects for many categories will be offered. Another hard to find item is a guest registry for the Maplewood Place that spans the years 1898 to 1929. If you like island history, this yard sale is for you! Mark your calendar and discover real island history for your own collection.
