The Biggest Week in American Birding Spots Kirtland’s Warbler on Kelleys Island

Biggest Week in American Birding

“The ‘Biggest Week‘ is a 10-day festival featuring some of the best birding North America has to offer. If you are anywhere else in the world in mid-May, you are in the wrong place,” according to the Black Swamp Bird Observatory.  The 2014 event closed today, but complete festival information and next year’s dates are available via the online guide!  A Kirtland’s Warbler, one of only 5000 world-wide (Wikipedia, 2007), was seen but eluded capture and banding.
