Township Shares Ottawa County Sheriff’s Letter

Put-in-Bay Township received the letter below from the Ottawa County Sheriff regarding training accomplished this winter by the deputies on the island. We commend their efforts and appreciate their dedication.

FROM THE OTTAWA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE:

As you know we set several goals for the Put-in-Bay Township Deputies. One of the major goals we set for them was to have added training geared towards them being more self-reliant and to be able to perform their duties at a high level, and provide a high level of service to the citizens and guests of Put-in-Bay Township. I am happy to report that the classes listed below were completed by all four of our current Put-in-Bay Township Deputies. This is over 24 hours of training that was all free. The list of classes below will also become a part of new hire Field Training Program for those assigned Deputies.
