Weather Impacts Off-Island Travel
Dustin Shaffer, of Island Air Taxi, reported on Facebook at 9:15am: “. . . weather is not cooperating and we will be lucky to get one flight in. I am watching the weather and if we get any breaks I will make as many runs as I can, but don’t get your hopes up.” At 11:15am, Griffing Flying Service said their status is “stand by,” as they are expecting a swath of heavier weather to pass through the area.
