When Snow is News

Snow in the news is not uncommon, but when it’s only a dusting to one inch is it really newsworthy?  Perhaps not, but this winter has seen such a change from record-breaking events years ago that even the light, somewhat crunchy overnight snowfall merits a look.  No measurable rain since the last day of January, lake fog, sun-bright ice floes, heavy dark gray skies, and hazy milky overcast are a few of the descriptors for the first half of February 2024.  So, though it will be a temporary experience to be sure, here’s to the President’s Day Weekend snow!
