Known to many Put-in-Bay residents as the kind “Grocery Gal,” Amanda Downey spends some of her time away from the General Store pursuing her avid interest in photography.  Ms. Downey shared the following thoughts and photos with PiBDaily™.  We know you will appreciate the personal sentiment and the stunning images.

“Coming from a city such as Toledo, Ohio, it surely was a change of scenery moving to a beautiful island.  Photographing tall buildings, local parks and local musicians was my favorite to capture.  Moving to an island with a stunning view of one of our great lakes and surrounded by historical monuments, unforgettable sunsets/sunrises, and change of seasons is more my cup of tea.  Truly blessed to live here.   Hope to see a snowy white owl this winter and capture Jack Frost in all his glory.”
