The Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce met on Monday, 13 January 2014, at Tipper’s Restaurant. Fifteen people attended and participated in an 8-item agenda. Major points of consideration included the imminent boat show in Cleveland, the Columbus AAA Travel Show, and the 28 March 2014 State of the Island meeting. Highlights for 2014 include service improvements on the Chamber’s Web page, a new fundraiser, pursuing a Tall Ship presence, and continuing the “positive attitude set” begun by American Legion Post 542 with 120 flags on Langram Road. A “Find Your Island” marketing concept was introduced by Chamber President, Ty Winchester, and it received favorable feedback. The next meeting will take place on Monday, 3 February 2013.
