The Boardwalk is happy to announce the season’s Tarpon Springs Shrimp on the Main Deck will take place on Wednesday, 29 August 2018, from 5-8 P.M. The finest Key West Pink Shrimp are served steaming hot with Feta cheese, olive oil, “Old Bay,” lemon, and butter on Pita bread. Dinner includes a Greek salad and Baklava for the low price of $20!
About 40 years ago, while visiting Ken and Jane Turvey, a group of Islanders discovered Paul’s Shrimp House in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Paul was a Greek fisherman who had a unique recipe for serving up a plate of hot “peel and eat shrimp.” For several years afterwards, Paul’s Shrimp House became a frequent meeting place for Islanders traveling to Fort Meyers. On Wednesday, we will serve Paul’s original recipe in the same tradition as so many enjoyed it in the past.
