Put-in-Bay School Panther Basketball crafted a big performance in a resounding win vs the Monclova Christian Thunder. The varsity Put-in-Bay squad (2-2) came out looking to rebound after two close losses and found their groove in a 64-45 victory. Coach Schuffenecker challenged his team to put together a 32-minute game and they responded with vigor. The Panthers were led by Lear Cooks’ 21 points and Cody Kowalski’s career-high 16 points. In total, over 8 players scored baskets. A supportive community filled the stands with positive energy.
The team now set their sights on the Great Lakes Island Tournament held on Mackinac Island this year on 8/9 December. The competition features four island basketball teams. More details to come. Click on any slideshow image for full size.
