Great Lakes Island Tournament
We are excited to share the highlights and successes of our Boys Varsity Basketball team at the recent Mackinac Island Basketball Tournament! We had a great start, winning our first game versus Beaver Island, our team showcased incredible spirit and talent, ending the tournament with a 1-2 record. We’re immensely proud of their dedication and sportsmanship. A special round of applause goes to our remarkable coaches—Schuffenecker, Goodwin, and Schroeder—for their outstanding planning and guidance throughout the tournament. Your efforts in shaping these young athletes are truly commendable. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to DD Duggan and Jen Blumensaadt for their exceptional support. Their dedication to organizing meals and driving for our student athletes was invaluable in making this trip a success.
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce that next year, Put-in-Bay will be hosting the tournament! This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and showcase our hospitality. January marks a special occasion “School Board Recognition Month” where we take a moment to express our deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions of our dedicated School Board members. Our Board of Education comprises individuals who bring diverse perspectives, unique talents, and a shared commitment to enriching the lives of our students. With unwavering dedication, these remarkable individuals—John Domer, Karen Gouziou, Suzanne Kostura, Bill Market, and David Hill—have continuously demonstrated their passion and commitment to the betterment of our school community.
Each member of our Board brings a distinct skill set, fostering a collective environment where thoughtful discussions and decisions are made with one common goal: the well-being and success of our students. Their tireless efforts, countless hours of service, and unwavering support have resulted in improved and expanded opportunities and programs that directly benefit our students. Winter Program
We are delighted to extend our warmest congratulations to our incredible choir students and their dedicated instructor, Ms. Gay Pippert, for delivering yet another outstanding
holiday performance on December 14th. The holiday spirit was truly alive as our talented students took the stage, showcasing not only their musical prowess but also the immense dedication and effort they poured into preparing for this spectacular event. The level of commitment and enthusiasm displayed by our choir members was nothing short of remarkable, and it was evident in every note sung and every moment shared. The gym almost erupted as the students did a bucket drum performance of “Carol of the Buckets”. We extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Gay Pippert for her exceptional guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support in nurturing the talents of our students. Her dedication to fostering a love for music and performance is truly commendable and has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in the success of our choir program.
