According to the Canadian Coast Guard Web pages, “The Limnos is Canada’s principal research ship in the Great Lakes. The Limnos does all kinds of scientific research for Environment Canada as well as some universities. If some search and rescue does need to be performed, the Limnos is capable of helping out.” The vessel entered Put-in-Bay at 12:24 pm on Wednesday, 28 May 2014.
