Kelleys, North Bass, South Bass, Middle Bass, Johnson, Rattlesnake, West Sister, Sugar, Green, , Lost Ballast, Mouse, Gibraltar, Buckeye, Turtle, Starve, Gull, Pelee, Middle Sister, North Harbor, East Sister, Middle Sister, Hen and Chicks, and Mohawk(located Eastern Lake Erie). Each one has a chapter in the book. And how about the some 50 reefs and shoals? Fishermen will be reading this book to find the fish!

You might know the legendary Dr. Herdendorf as the founding director of the Center for Lake Erie Area Research at The Ohio State University. Or as the former Director of Franz Theodore Stone Laboratory at Put-in-Bay, or as the founding director of the Ohio Sea Grant Program. Or as The Ohio State University Professor in the College of Biological Sciences, or the Schools of Earth Sciences and Natural Resources.

Or you might know the Herdendorfs as cottagers on the West Shore. Either way, please join us for an evening of celebration of the release of this book, hosted by the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society, the Put-in-Bay Township Park District, the Lake Erie Islands Conservancy and the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center.
