Bright sunshine did not interfere with the mini-icebergs left after this past week’s temperature rise to 50°F. In fact, the air temperature at 11:45 am was 26ºF on South Bass Island. A light north wind (3 mph) pushed remaining ice floes hither and yon, revealing the recent ice depth on Lake Erie and the clarity of the water.
