Put-in-Bay Founder’s Day Delivers Opportunity to Experience Island History

Put in Bay Aviation HistoryIf you rode in one of the Island Airlines Ford Tri-Motors, you flew in an airplane that was part of aviation history. The Tin Goose was the first plane used for commercial passenger flights. If you made a trip to one of the islands aboard the craft from the golden age of aviation, you probably have a story about some strange or unique cargo. You might tell a tale about one of the pilots, or maybe a thrilling take-off or landing.

At Founder’s Day on Sunday, June 15th, in DeRivera Park, Steven & Alina Nemec will feature Island Airline memorabilia at their sale table. In addition to Tin Goose nostalgic items, the couple will have a wide array of other vintage Put-in-Bay articles. There will be many other sale tables, food & fun for the entire family. Hours are 11 am to 5 pm, in the beautiful, shady DeRivera Park.
