Visit an 1800’s Summer Retreat and Contemporary Research Center on Gibraltar Island

Two science and history tours of Ohio State University’s Stone Laboratory on Gibraltar Island are offered each Thursday from June 13 through August 15, 2024 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.  Groups tour the island, including Perry’s Lookout, glacial grooves and see Cooke Castle before learning more about Stone Lab’s fascinating aquatics research.

Gibraltar Island tours take place on Thursdays, from June 13 – August 15.  Tours are slated for 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.  The fee is $12 for adults and $6 for children.  Tours meet at the Boardwalk Restaurant dock 15 minutes prior to the tour  start time.

Boardwalk Harbor Operations water taxi provides round-trip to Gibraltar Island at $8 per person, payable to the boat captain in cash only.
