Southerly winds may gust as high as 40mph today, reports the National Weather Service. Rain and snow showers are also in the forecast, with a high temperature of 41°F. This makes the ice-fishing outlook rather dreary.
The warmer temperatures of the past two days delivered considerable slush on Lake Erie’s icy surface. Multiple shanties were moved to shore.
“Temperatures will be below Monday, closer to average for Tuesday, and should trend above average for at least a couple of days Wednesday/Thursday.”
