Walleye Fishing Draws Determined Outdoorsmen to Put-in-Bay

Fishermen from Green Bay, Wisconsin, relish another day on Lake Erie before heading to the cleaning shack.
Rain, snow, wind, and a chilly temperature in the mid-40’s did nothing to steer fishermen clear of the bountiful waters of Lake Erie around the Bass Islands. While some lamented “a long day on the water,” others expressed joy at meeting the legal Walleye catch limit. Trailer license plates were spotted from Missouri, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Indiana.
Morning parking around DeRivera Park told the tale!
At 8pm the evening line-up commenced at South Bass Island State Park.
