Junior Drama Society on Stage at Put-in-Bay Town Hall

Put-in-Bay Arts Council is proud to present the Junior Drama Society’s second performance of Dorothy in Wonderland on Saturday, May 5.  The performance starts at 7 p.m. on the Town Hall stage.  Directed by Put-in-Bay school senior Tatey Kowalski, with assistance from Katherine Woischke, this play features the talent of 23 school students, grades 2 through high school.

You’ve seen Wizard of Oz!  You’ve seen Alice in Wonderland!  This comedy is a perfect mash-up of the two classics with all your favorite characters! Beginning with the final “Almost home” scene from Wizard of Oz, the characters are swept into a tornado only to fall down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. Can Dorothy, Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin Man join forces with Alice and the crazy Wonderland crew to defeat the Queen of Hearts? Come and find out! Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens.

Browns Backers Bring Army Band to April’s Draft Day 5K

The Lake Erie Island Browns Backers are proud to announce the 338th US Army Reserve Command Band will perform before, during and after our 4th Annual Draft Day 5K taking place April 28, 2018.  The unit’s Headquarters is the 88th Reserve Support Command at Ft. Snelling, Mn.  The 338th is stationed at the 83rd Infantry Division Memorial US Army Reserve Center, Whitehall, Ohio (a suburb of Columbus) and in Livonia, Michigan.  The 338th is currently made up of musicians from every corner of Ohio, Michigan and parts of Kentucky.  Members’ ages range from 17 to 50+.
