Due to the extended restrictions in Ohio, Lake Erie Islands Conservancy cancels the popular Bass Islands Green Week for 2020. It is in the best interest to postpone most events until next year when LEIC can open up events to larger groups while still staying smart about the health of visitors. Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center is still having the annual Pig Roast on Wednesday, August 5. It will be take-out or delivered to your door this year. The Dedication of Cooper’s Woods Preserve is postponed from August 2 until Thursday, September 24, 2020. All are invited to attend a short ceremony at 2:30pm in the Preserve parking lot adjacent to the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Light refreshments and cake will be served at The Goat Restaurant immediately following. Lake Erie Islands Conservancy will hold a short, annual meeting at 3:30pm at the Goat Restaurant to elect board members and officers.
