World’s Largest Rubber Duck Returns to Put-in-Bay July 10–12
The World’s Largest Rubber Duck is making its return to Put-in-Bay next week, bringing one of the island’s most unique family attractions back for another summer weekend.
Standing 61 feet tall and joined by her duckling, Timmy, the giant inflatable duck will be on display Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12 near the Put-in-Bay Airport. Visitors will once again have the opportunity to take photos, browse duck-themed merchandise, enjoy family activities, and experience one of the most talked-about attractions to visit the island in recent years.
The event is presented by The Perry Group, with proceeds supporting the organization’s mission of preserving and promoting the history of Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial through education, special events, and community programs. A special “Don’t Give Up the Ship” commemorative rubber duck will also be available during the event, with proceeds helping support that mission.
Members-Only Cocktail Party
One of the new additions this year is an exclusive Perry Group, Members-Only, Cocktail Party on Friday evening during the Duck’s Sneak Peek.
The Perry Group is currently offering 50% off new memberships, giving supporters an opportunity to become members and enjoy the cocktail party while also supporting future educational and historical programming on South Bass Island.
If you’ve been thinking about joining The Perry Group, this is one of the best times to do it.
A Weekend for the Whole Family
Whether you’re visiting the island for the weekend or are a local resident, the World’s Largest Rubber Duck offers a fun stop for all ages. The event also takes place during Put-in-Bay Jeep Fest Weekend, making it a great opportunity to experience two popular island events at the same time. Whether you’re coming for the Jeeps, the duck, or both, visitors will find plenty happening across the island throughout the weekend.
Last year’s visit quickly became one of the island’s most photographed attractions, drawing families from across Ohio and beyond.
Admission to view the duck is free, making it an easy addition to any Put-in-Bay itinerary.
Volunteers Still Needed
The Perry Group is also looking for a few additional volunteers to help throughout Duck Weekend. Anyone interested in supporting the event is encouraged to contact The Perry Group for volunteer information via email at battleoflakeerie@gmail.com. Even a few hours of help can make a big difference during one of the organization’s largest fundraising events of the year.
