Whereas the National Weather Service calls for “a muggy and unsettled holiday weekend . . . with occasional shower and storm chances,” Put-in-Bay isn’t letting damp weather diminish the fun. Live camera views reveal a healthy number of visitors arriving on Miller Ferry, a decent number of vessels on the Boardwalk Harbor Operations moorings, and plenty of yachts in the public and private docks.

Remember, there are many great venues to visit if it rains: Perry’s Cave and Family Fun Center has The Butterfly House and the cave on the National Historic Register; tasty food/beverages await at The Boardwalk and Hooligans; Lake Erie Islands Historical Society presents a first-class museum; Perry’s Monument and International Peace Memorial visitor center honors an American naval battle victory; the Chocolate Cafe offers delightful java and sweet treats; and the musical entertainment line-up is awesome at Music @ Put-in-Bay. And then there’s shopping–don’t miss the Island Boutiques!
